Wedding Photos!

All the planning!

Here I am knotting! (looking at theknot.com for ideas)

Oh could it be!! Is Josh knotting for something?

Oh look! It's me knotting again!

Even the kitties have started to look at the knot for ideas! Or are they looking for kitty toys?

Engagement Pictures

This is the photo that will be in the Milestones section of the Gazette. Look for it June 10th. Also look for another surpise photo in the Day to Remember section.

Rings

My Engagement Ring

This is my wedding band and engaement ring together.

Yes, I do put them down once in a while. I also am not allowed to touch my wedding band again until the wedding so this is where it will live until July.

This is Josh's ring. He says it burns everytime he puts it on. He also says it is a little tight. I hope I can get it on his finger on our wedding day.

The Stationary

These are out! Please read them carefully! Also, Check out our knot website for information on accomodations and directions.

Please send these back soon!!!

The Ceremony

St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church

The inside facing the altar.

This is what I am planning to do for the main aisle, only our roses will be red with no leaves/greenery.

The unity candle holder. I plan on using red taper candles and red pillar.

This is what our unity candle looks like.

This is the look I am hoping for as we leave the cermony.

This is what my ribbon wands look like.

The Attire

This is my dress. This is the second time I went to try it on. That is my veil that I have on. I am wearing my shoes but you can't see them.

This is the back of my dress. I really like this picture because you can see me looking at it in the mirror.

This is my veil. It is ivory to match my my dress. It has a red edge on it.

This is my veil from the back.

This is my tiara. I don't have a picture of me with it on yet, but give me time.

These are my shoes. Yes, they are red. I figured underneath all the dress and red crinoline you won't be able to see the red shoes, so I thought they were a great idea.

I am hoping my dyed crinoline will look this good. I want it to be red, not pink.

Well, This is my crinoline. It is a little more purple than I was hoping, but oh well. I am not dying it again. I think Josh is still upset about me dying the washer wine colored in the first place.

This is not quite what Josh's tux might look like. His is going to have a silver tie and an ivory vest. His shirt will also be ivory. I will hopefully get a new picture of what it will really look like on here soon.

This is what my girls will be wearing. I think we will be going with the straps look. They will not have the shawls on during the ceremony but will be able to wear them the rest of the day if they really need them. I have 4 bridesmaids.

This is what the groomsmen will wear. The ushers will also be wearing the same tux colors.

This is similar to the dress my flower girl, Alison will be wearing.

The Hair

These are pictures from my first hair trial. I think it turned out really well and it will look even better now that my hair is longer. I have my next hair trial on June 5th. I will have more pics then.

These photos are from my second hair trial. I was going out that night so Kendra did not fasten my tiara in there very well. On my wedding day, you will not be able to see the side of the tiara. These pictures make me realize my wedding is only a month away! AHHHHHH!!!!!

The Flowers

This is what my bouquet looks like.

This is the top of my bouquet.

This is what my bridesmaids flowers look like.I have 2 red bouquets and 2 black bouquets.

This is what Josh's bout looks like.

This is what groomsmen bouts look like.

This is what the mom's will carry in.

This is what the 3 grandma's will be wearing.

This is what the 2 dads and one grandfather will be wearing.

This is the overall look I am going for, but with out the greenery.

This is what the reader's coursages look like.

These are the flowers I made for my two personal attendants. The strings hang down quite a bit.

This is the basket I made for my flower girl to carry down the aisle. She didn't want to have to go back and pick up the floewrs she would drop so this was our comprimise.

This is what I made for my ringbearer to carry down the aisle. I may attach some fake rings to it, I haven't decided.

The Reception

Decorations

Our theme is Lucky in Love. Our date is 7-7-07 so we thought it was fitting. I have quite a few decorations already but do not have pictures of them. I will have to add them when I get those.

These will be on the tables before we arrive with snacks and things to much on before dinner.

These lotto tickets will also be in our favor boxes. Each box has 2 tickets. Most have sayings and quotes on them. Some however do have prizes on them.
Some of the prizes include: free drinks, free dances with members of the wedding party, and free pulls on our slot machines.

We will be having slot machines on the parents tables. Instead of clinking glasses, guests can put coins in the slot machine and pull the handle. If the person wins the couple will kiss. I hate the sound of clinking glasses. Plus we won't be having glass cups or real silverware, so this is our version of the tradition.

These are the favor boxes that the lotto tickets are in. Also in these boxes are pieces of candy. It will be either hugs, kisses, chocolate poker chips, or gold and silver coins.

These are some of the chocolate coins in the favor boxes.

These are what I am thinking for the main guest tables. I will also have scattered cards, and fake coins or poker chips.

These are more table decorations. I have decided to include votives on the tables to set the mood. I have 12 of the black holders, 5 silver holders, and 20 of the glass votive holders. The small glass holders with have sand in the bottom of and then the candle in the sand. I will have black sand around the ivory candles and ivory sand around the red candles.

At the head table, they will have place cards. I got the idea from my friend Courtney. (She did horseshoes at her reception.) I thought it was a great idea. I found these charms on eBay, so I thought they would be perfect. This is the groom's place card.

These are the placecards for our bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, usherettes, ringbearer, and flowergirl. I still have to finish the cards for the parents, grandparents, personal attendants. The names in the pictures have be blocked to protect the innocent. After the wedding they can take the charms and cut them off the placecard and make a necklace, bracelet or something.

I am planning on having a kid's table like this. Minus the candy.

Around the dance floor and at the entrance tables there will large dice. This a picture of our little dice. They are 12 inches. I also have 18 inch dice. They were a lot of fun to make.

I thought this idea was great for everyone to write their congratulations and advice to us. That will save the photo mats for just the signatures. If you click on the photo it will take you to a slideshow of what the inside pages looks like. That way you can pick a page you want to write on ahead of time.

This is where cards will be placed at the reception. I tried to get the handle to be able to move, but it just wasn't possible. In the white space we will be taking picture on the wedding day and taking them to a 1-hour photo place to have them developed and placed in the white space.

This is how we will be remembering our loved one who will not be with us on our special day. I just need to put the photos and names in each frame. I will be remembering my Grandpa Nelson, Grandpa Harman, Cousin Wendy, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Jim, and Aunt Kathy. Josh will be remembering his Grumppa and Grandmama, Aunt Jean, and Uncle Dave. We may also have a candle at the altar and beside the photos at the reception for them. If you click on the photo it will take you to a page that has a slide show of the different people.

This is the memorial candle I created to burn next to the photos. I have added an angel pin to this candle. And yes, I am fixing the spelling mistake.

Until there is a cure!!!

Until they are all safe!!!

The Cake

This is what I want our cake table to look like. We are having a small 3-tier cake with sheet cakes.

This is kind of what I want the cake to look like.

This may be what the sheet cakes look like.

This is my cake knife and cake server.

This is a close up of the cake knife and cake server. They have a bow and two dice on each piece. I thought those charms were so fitting of our theme.

A friend of ours gave us glasses similar to these. I also have other ceramic dice glasses so we may use those too.

I want to have a cake like this at the rehearsal dinner.

Wedding Comics

What I am not or will not be!!!

How I am planning on motivating me to lose weight.

These are before and after models of what I look like now and what I will look like on my honeymoon!!!

The Gifts

Since it is getting closer to the wedding it is getting time that we think about how to thank our bridal party. I have the bridemaids, usherettes, flower girl and ringbearer gifts bought. They are not wrapped yet but will be soon. When I get photos of them I will post those.

I bought Josh a money clip with his initials engraved in it. I also got boudoir photos taken at the end of March. They turned out amazing!! Josh has no idea about this so please do not tell him anything.

The People

This is most of my wedding party. From left: My personal attendant, Courtney; Me; Usherette Sarah; MOH Becky; Usherette Carrie; Bridesmaid Katie

These are Josh's sisters. The one in the IOWA shirt is Annie and the one in the black shirt is Jenica. Jenica is one of the bridesmaids and Annie is the bridemaids personal attendant.

The Oberembts!!!

After the I DO's

Because the wedding is so close to the 4th of July, I thought this would be a cute picnic idea for our gift opening on Sunday morning.

Where we will be honeymooning at!!! We are going to JAMAICA!!! We are going to stay at Sandals!!!
